I use the LCE Nikon Pro Shop in Southampton - the Civic Centre Branch. Staff are extremely knowledgable and helpful. They are always willing to discuss prices and will order items not held in stock.

I use the Canon Pro Centre in Southampton and find them very helpful and knowledgeable. Sometimes the prices can sometimes be bettered on the internet but convenience often wins in the end.

I find that service varies from one store to the next with LCE.
In the Fareham store, the service is ok-ish but the staff dont seem that interested in establishing your needs; in the Portsmouth store, I have found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable (I bought my D-SLR and first lens there); in the Southampton Canon Pro centre, I find the service is much better. The manager is very knowledgeable and willing to do some sensible haggling if necessary to clinch a sale (I got £10 off the asking price for a Manfrotto tripod head on my last visit).
Overall, I would buy from LCE again but only from the Canon Pro centre or the Portsmouth branch.
