Thought I should balance my other review as I couldn't add more to it. I have bought and sold several cameras with MPB and have usually had a very good experience - everything has been straight forward and the camera in the photo is the one I received. I do think they could offer a bit more for equipment to sellers as I have usually have been offered more by some of the other companies. I suppose it's swings and roundabouts (sorry to use an annoying phrase) as sometimes they sell some items for less than the other companies.

Bought a Panasonic Lumix G 20mm F1.7 ASPH lens from them. Described as 'like new' but the box looked very worn. The lens did look ok. Only had the lens about a month and barely used it. Was selling my camera to Wex so attempted to also sell them the lens and was told the autofocus was making a grinding sound so was failing (I hadn't heard any sound so must be something they listen for when testing). Unfortunately, I told Wex to recycle the lens as I'd forgotten I'd bought it from MPB (I automatically presumed I'd bought it from a private seller on Ebay as bought another one on Ebay around the same time) so couldn't send to MPB to ask for my money back. Obviously these things can happen but it has made me think that lenses with issues may not be picked up on by even the big companies who do the testing. I am sure MPB would have given me a refund so it's just one of those things. Really frustrating though for me as paid £160 for the lens and was out of pocket by over £100, so had less money to put towards new gear.

Only used them twice - the second time I was giving them a second chance - on both occasions the items were not as described and were dirty - clearly were not checked properly and not as described. Would never use them again as I do not trust their quality control or their grading of equipment

I have used mpb.com on at least 7 occasions and they have always offered excellent service and the goods have been as described, well packaged, and working fine on most occasions, and when a fault has been found in a product they have replaced it quickly and at no extra cost. I would highly recommend them.

Used MPB to purchase in the past and to sell to twice (the second is on its way to them now) and on both occasions they have been excellent and as far as selling is concerned, sure they offer less than a private sale, but not by much once youve taken into account that RMSD will cost £20+ and they truly are hassle free and keep you informed throughout.
